Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. (OICL) is conducting OICL 2018 AO Scale I exam to select eligible candidates to the post of Administrative Officer at its various offices all across the country. Candidates are selected for prestigious posts such as that of AO, ADO, AAO etc.through OICL 2018 Exam.

Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) has now released the result for OICL AO Phase-II Examination. Candidates selected in the Phase-II Exam will be further called for the Interview Process thus ensuring their final selection through OICL 2018 Exam.
The Exam Dates for OICL Administrative Officer (AO) Scale-I 2018 was released by OICL. The important dates for OICL AO 2018 Exam are as follows:
Commencement of on-line registration of application: 18th August 2018
Closure of registration of application: 15th September 2018

Online Fee Payment: 18th August 2018 to 15th September 2018
Date of online Examination Phase – I: 22nd October 2018

OICL Preliminary Exam Pattern
The Preliminary Examination consists of Objective Test for 100 marks which will be conducted online. The test would be of 1 hour duration having 3 sections as follows:

OICL Main Examination
OICL Main Examination comprises of Objective Test for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after the conduct of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be conducted.
(i) Objective Test: This test will be of 2 hours duration consisting of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks.

(ii) Descriptive Test: This Test is of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks. Candidates are tested for English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks).
The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode. All candidates will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. Descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test and also score high.
Interview
Candidates who qualify the main examination will be called the interview round to be conducted by the company. The weightage of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from company’s website.
A candidate is required to pay a total of Rs. 500/- as OICL 2018 Application fee. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex. Servicemen category are required to pay Rs. 50/- as application fee for OICL 2018 Exam.
Age Limit | A candidate is required to be of Minimum 18 years of age and Maximum 26 years of age to be eligible for OICL 2018 Exam. |
Educational Qualification | a) Graduate from a recognized University OR Pass in HSC/Equivalent (XII pass) examination with 60% marks (50% for Ex-servicemen, SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities); and the candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/ Intermediate/ Graduation level; and Knowledge of Regional Language i.e. Language of the State of Recruitment is essential. b) The candidates should be proficient in Regional Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/write and speak the Regional Language of the State/UT), for whose vacancies a candidate wishes to apply. |
OICL will release Admit Card in sequence in which the different phases of the examination will be conducted. Admit Card for Paper-I will be released first followed by Admit Card for Paper-II for candidates qualifying Paper-I of OICL 2018.
The cut off for OICL 2018 keeps on changing every year. It depends upon the number of candidates appearing for the exam and the quality of questions being asked in the examination. The cut-off for Written Exam is likely to be different than that of last years’.
