Sol.After election to Parliament, the members become entitled to certain amenities. Broadly speaking, the amenities provided to the members relate to salaries & allowances, travelling facilities, medical facilities, accommodation, telephones, etc. These amenities are provided to members with a view to enable them to function effectively as Members of Parliament. These are governed by the Salary, Allowances & Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954 & the rules made there under.
