Sol. The most important landmark judgment regarding the amendment of the Constitution (Article 368) is the Kesavananda Bharati case. In this case, the Supreme Court held that the power to amend the Constitution is not absolute and that there are certain fundamental features of the Constitution that cannot be amended.
These fundamental features include the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India; the republican and democratic form of government; the fundamental rights; and the basic structure of the Constitution.
