What is AFSPA?
Armed Forces Special Powers Act or AFSPA gives extraordinary forces to the military to keep everything under control in “upset regions”. Background of AFSPA

- AFSPA violates the Fundamental Rights of people living in disturbed areas. It violates Article 22 which provides safeguards for preventive and punitive detentions.
