Remount Veterinary Corps is hiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions for short service commission in Remount Veterinary Corps of Indian Army. Essential Educational Qualification for Army RVC.

Candidates having a graduate degree in Bachelors of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandary/ Bachelors of Veterinary Science from any recognized Indian University or its equivalent foreign degree. Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam with Internship. Candidates who does not have the possession of Internship need not apply.

Who will be entitled to Permanent Commission after joining Army RVC?

  • BVSc/ BVSc & AH degree graduates will be considered for permanent Commission only if they are below 30 years in age.
  • MVSc and Doctorate Degree holders will be considered for Permanent Commission after providing Age relaxation to them.

Method of Selection for Army Veterinary Corps.

There will be three stages in the selection process of RVC

1- Initial Screening- In the Initial Screening process, Document Verification of all the original documents will take place.

2- SSB Interview- Candidates have to undergo a 5 Day Interview process. It is important to get Recommended from SSB Interview.

3- Merit Out- Merit list will be make from recommended candidates.

Candidates qualifying the all three stages need to undergo a Medical Examination.

Training, Commission, Salary and Promotion of Army RVC

After completing of Training, the candidates will be commissioned on the Rank of Captain. Selected Candidates will be trained at Remount Veterinary Corps centre and college, Meerut Cantt.

Anti date Seniority-

Candidates holding a Masters in the Veterinary Science and Holding a doctorate will be given the seniority of 12 month/ 24 months respectively.

Promotion

Candidates after commissioning in the armed forces can be promoted up to the rank of Lt. Col while in Short Service Commission and up to the rank of Colonel if granted Permanent Commission

Tenure

Officers commissioned will serve the Indian Army for Five years of time period. The period of five years may be further extended by two spells of five years four years.

Military Service Pay 15,500
Non Practice Allowance @20 of Basic pay
