BSF Head Constable Ministerial Syllabus 2024 and New Exam Pattern 2024

The Border Security Force (BSF) has published the syllabus for the BSF Head Constable (Ministerial) and ASI (Steno) exams in its official notification. Candidates who have filled out the application form should now check the syllabus to prepare for the upcoming written exam. BSF HC and ASI Syllabus 2024

The Border security force will soon conduct the written examination for the posts of Head Constable and Assistant Sub Inspector. The registration process was closed on the 8th July 2024. The Exam is expected to be conducted  within 4 Months of the application deadline. Students should prepare according to the latest syllabus and exam pattern. BSF Head Constable Ministerial Syllabus 2024

The BSF Head Constable (HC) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) examination will consist of the following stages: Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer-Based Test (CBT), Skill Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination (DME/RME). All these stages are mandatory. The examination will be conducted in three phases as follows:

a) 1st Phase : Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
b) 2nd Phase : Computer Base Test (CBT)
c) 3rd Phase : Skill Test, Documents Verification and Medical examination (DME/RME)

BSF HCM Exam Pattern 2024

We have updated the latest exam pattern for the BSF Recruitment notification 2024. The Written Test is mandatory to clear Practice is the key to an objective-based written exam and for that knowing the section, it includes and the weightage, every section holds, is very important so that the preparation could be started accordingly. It is to note that only those candidates who qualify the physical efficiency test will be eligible to appear for the written stage.

The written examination will be conducted in the Second phase.

  • The written examination is of 100 marks.
  • It will be an objective type test.
  • And there also be a Typing Speed Test.

Important points related to BSF Head Constable (Ministerial) Written Exam

  • Each question will be of 1 mark
  • The duration of the exam will be of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
  • The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for unreserved category candidates, and 33% for OBC, SC and ST candidates.

BSF HC Exam Pattern 2024: Typing Speed Test

In the BSF HCM and ASI examination, a skill test is conducted after the written examination which a candidate must qualify. Candidates eligible for the ASI (Steno) position based on physical measurements will proceed to a stenography speed test. For English, the transcription must be completed in 50 minutes, and for Hindi, in 65 minutes, using a computer.

Candidates eligible for the HC (Min) position based on physical measurements will undergo a typing test. They must type a given passage within 10 minutes.

For ASI (Stenographer) Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi in 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes OR in Hindi in 65 minutes on computer.
For HC (Min) (Typing Test) 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 w.p.m in English and 30 w.p.m in Hindi correspond to 10500 KDPH in English and 9000 KDPH in Hindi, respectively, with an average of 5 key depressions for each word on the computer). Time Allowed: 10 minutes

BSF Physical Efficiency Test/ Physical Standard Test

Physical Standard plays an important role in the Examination. Candidates are advised to stay fit and practice the physical fitness activity on the daily basis to clear the Physical efficiency test in the first step. In this BSF HC and ASI Exam , The PST is the first stage exam which is necessary to clear to move on to the next stages of the BSF.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

For male candidates: 1.6 Km race in 06 minutes and 30 seconds.
For female candidates: 800 meter race in 04 minutes and 45 seconds.

Physical Standard Test ( PST):

The minimum eligible height for the Male candidates is 165 cm (With few Exception) The minimum eligible height for female candidates is 155 Cm.
