BSF Recruitment Age Limit

The Minimum age for applying is 18 years and the maximum age is 23 years as of 01 August 2021.

BSF  Recruitment Physical Eligibility:

• Height : Male =167.5 Cms and Female = 157 Cms
• Chest( For male only) : 78-83 cm

 For SC/ ST/ Adivasis

• Height : Male =162.5 Cms and Female = 155 Cms
• Chest (For male only) : 76-81 cm

 For Candidates of Hilly Area

• Height : Male =165 Cms and Female = 150 Cms
• Chest( For male only) : 78-83 cm

BSF Recruitment Selection Process

1. Physical Standards Test (PST)

The following Standards need to be fulfilled by the Candidates

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

 For Males –5 Kilo meter Race in 24 Minutes

For Females -1.6 Kilo meter Race in 8 Minutes 30 Seconds

3. Document Verification

Candidates successfully clearing the PET will require to undergo a Document Verification process to further into the selection process

4. Trade Test

The Trade Test will test the Candidate on the trade specific knowledge of the post he or she has applied for.

5. Written Exam Pattern

The written exam will be same for all the posts, it will focus on examining the aptitude of the candidate. Below is the BSF Tradesman Written Exam Pattern:

• The Constable Tradesman written exam is based on OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) system.
• The written test comprises 100 questions each for 1 mark.
• Each part will carry 25 questions/marks.
• The question paper will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English.
• The exam duration is 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes.

6. Medical Examination

This is the final step of the selection process, Candidates will be examined on the prescribed bases for physical and mental well being.

BSF Tradesman Recruitment 2022: Salary

The Candidates selected will be entitled  to the pay Matrix Level-3, Pay scale Rs.21,700-69,100/- of 7th CPC
(Revised Pay Structure) and other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees
from time to time. In addition, Ration allowance, Medical Assistance, free accommodation,
free leave pass, etc. are granted which are admissible to BSF employees.
