BSF Constable Tradesman Selection Process 2023
The BSF Tradesman Selection Process typically involves the following stages:
- Written Exam: The first stage of selection is a written exam that assesses the candidate’s aptitude, general knowledge, and trade-specific knowledge.The written exam will be the same for all the posts, it will focus on examining the aptitude of the candidate. - The written test comprises 100 questions each for 1 mark.
- Each part will carry 25 questions/marks.
- The question paper will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify for the written exam are then subjected to a physical standard test to ensure that they meet the required physical standards. The following Standards need to be fulfilled by the Candidates

3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who meet the physical standards are then subjected to a physical efficiency test that assesses their physical fitness.
4. Trade Test: Candidates who clear the physical efficiency test must undergo a trade test that assesses their practical skills in the trade for which they have applied.
5. Medical Examination: Finally, candidates who clear the trade test are subjected to a medical examination to ensure that they are medically fit to perform their duties.
