CAPF HC and ASI Ministerial Syllabus 2024, Check Exam Pattern Here

BSF has released the official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer/Combat Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial/ Combatant Ministerial) in Central armed Police Forces( CRPF) and Warrant Officer ( Personal Assistant) and Havildar (Clerk) in Assam Rifles. Candidates interested in joining the central armed police forces can apply between 9 June 2024 and 8 July 2024 by visiting on the official website of the BSF. In this article, we are going to discuss the Latest Syllabus, Exam Pattern and Mode of Examination according to the official notification on the website.

Scheme of Examination

The examination of CAPF Head constable and Assistant Sub Inspector  will consist of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer based test (CBT), Skill Test, Document verification and Medical Examination.

Phase I :- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Phase II :- Computer Base Test (CBT)

Phase III :- Skill Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination

The Candidates have to first qualify the Physical Efficiency Test. The Candidates who will clear the PST/PET will be called for the Written Examination that will be conducted online in objective mode.  The last stage will be of Skill test followed by the document verification and Medical Examination.

CAPF ASI Steno Syllabus 2024

The examination for the  BSF head Constable and ASI CAPF consists of multiple stages, including a  Physical Standard Test (PST), Computer Based Test (CBT), Skill Test, Document Verification, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages are compulsory.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) is the second stage and comprises one paper with 100 objective type questions. Candidates have 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete the paper.

The CBT paper for CAPF HC and ASI is divided into five sections:

  • Section A: Hindi Language or English Language (optional) with 20questions.
  • Section B: General Intelligence with 20 questions.
  • Section C: Numerical Aptitude with 20 questions.
  • Section D: Clerical  Aptitude with 20 questions.
  • Section E : Computer Knowledge with 20 Questions
  • Questions in the CBT will be of objective multiple-choice type and will be set in both Hindi and English languages.
  • The Question paper will be of Intermediate level

After clearing the Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates proceed to the next stage of recruitment, which includes the Skill Test,  Document Verification (DV), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

The Skill Tests for the Post of CAPF HC and ASI assesses candidates’ typing abilities, depending on their post. The skill test will be conducted on Computers. It will be of qualifying nature and no marks will be allotted.

  • For Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno): Candidates are required to take dictation for 10 minutes at a speed of 80 words per minute. Then, they have 50 minutes to transcribe the dictation into English or 65 minutes in Hindi on a computer.
  • For Head Constable/Ministerial: Candidates must demonstrate their typing skills on a computer. They can choose between English typing with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute or Hindi typing with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute. This corresponds to 10500 key depressions per hour in English and 9000 key depressions per hour in Hindi, with an average of 5 key depressions for each word on the computer.
