CAPF Vacancy 2023 , सीएपीएफ में खाली हैं 83000 + पद
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs has asked all Directors-General (D-Gs) of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles to share the details regarding shortage of personnel in their forces. At present, total of 83,127 posts are vacant in six Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) which includes Assam Rifle, BSF (Border Security Force), CISF (Central Industry Security Force), CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), ITBP (Indo Tibetan Police Force) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Adding to that he said the sanctioned strength of each Central Armed Police Force is 10,05,779 wherein 83,127 posts are vacant. Out of 83,127 vacancies, CRPF, the country’s largest paramilitary force, has 29,283 vacancies, followed by BSF (19,987), and CISF (19,475).
The Union Minister Rai said in a written response to a question asked by YSRCP MP Prabhakar Reddy about the number of sanctioned vacancies, vacant posts and steps to be taken to fill these vacancies.

Conducting various methods of recruitment, promotion, deputation, etc, as per provisions of the respective Recruitment Rules, Vacancies in CAPFs and Assam Rifles are filled. Recruitment Agencies includes Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC) which are responsible for holding recruitment rallies and conducting various departmental examinations.
Mentioning about the steps taken by the government to fill these posts he further added that the government has given the responsibility of conducting annual GD Constable Recruitment to Staff Selection Commission (SSC). It conducts the proper examination and other selection process. Also, all the Armed Forces and Assam Rifles have been instructed to recruit Non-General Duty Staff in a time-bound manner as soon as possible.

Telling about the reserved posts he informed the house, “In January 2016, it was decided to reserve 33% posts at constable level for being filled by women in CRPF and CISF to begin with and 14-15% posts at constable level in border guarding forces i.e., BSF, SSB and ITBP,”.
The examination for filling up 25,271 posts of constable (general duty) has already been conducted, he added.
