CDS 2025 Exam Instructions – Exam Timing
The CDS 1 2025 exam will be conducted in 3 shifts, each lasting 2 hours. Candidates appearing for the OTA will have only 2 shifts. It is crucial for all aspirants to be present at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled exam time. After this, entry will not be permitted. Be sure to reach early to complete the necessary formalities and avoid any delays.

Candidates need to adhere to the time of reporting in order to complete the entry formalities (including frisking) and verification process (bio metrics, identification, and inspection of admit card, ID proof, photograph, signature, etc.) before proceeding to the exam hall.
CDS Exam Instructions: Items to Carry Inside The Examination Hall
To ensure smooth entry and participation in the CDS 1 2025 exam, candidates must carry the following items to the exam center:
- e-Admit Card for CDS 1 2025 (printed copy).
- Aadhaar Card for identity verification.
- An additional valid photo identity proof (e.g., PAN card, passport, driving license, voter ID, college ID, or any other government-issued ID) that displays the candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, and a clear photograph.
- Black Ballpoint Pen for completing the OMR sheet and for any rough work.
- If the photograph on the e-Admit Card is unclear or missing, bring three (3) identical passport-sized photographs (one for each session), along with the e-Admit Card and a signed undertaking.
Items Not Permitted Inside Examination Hall
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, calculators, slide rulers, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, mobile phones, blue tooth, pager or any other digital device except the admit card, identity proof inside the CDS exam centre premises.
- If the candidate is in possession of any of the above-mentioned items, it will be construed as an attempt to using unfair means and his/her examination will be cancelled. The item will be confiscated and he/ she will also be debarred from future CDS examinations.
- Candidates are advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the Examination Centres, as safekeeping of the same cannot be assured.
