UPSC CDS 1 Merit List 2023

UPSC CDS 1 Merit list is prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam and their performance in the subsequent rounds of selection, which include the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview and medical examination. Candidates who secure a place on the merit list are eligible for further selection and training to become officers in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force, depending on their choice and eligibility.

What After CDS Result 2023?

Candidates who qualify for the written exam and move on to the SSB interview stage are required to fill in the detailed application form and submit it along with the necessary documents. Successful candidates will be called for intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board based on their preference by the respective service HQ.
  • Stage 1 consists of officer intelligence rating, picture perception, and description test.
  • Stage 2 involves a psychology test, interview, group testing officer task, and conference.

Candidates who qualify in the CDS Result 2023 written examination and are given their first choice as Army (IMA/OTA) are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in in order to enable them to receive call up information for SSB Interview. Those candidates who have already registered on the recruiting directorate website are advised not to register again.

CDS SSB Process

The Combined Defense Services Examination is conducted in two phases- the first stage is the written examination and the second is the SSB interview. This examination comes under UPSC and the examination of all the three forces is under this. If the candidate is successful in the written test then he/she is called for SSB interview. Candidates who qualify for the SSB interview are evaluated on various parameters, including intelligence, personality, and leadership skills. The SSB interview is a comprehensive evaluation process that assesses the candidate’s suitability for the position they have applied for in the Indian armed forces.

CDS SSB Process is a 5 day long process. A candidate has to clear all the tasks given to him/her in those 5 days. Tasks include Officer Intelligence rating, Picture perfection, GTO and Description Test.  On the last day, Interview is being conducted.
