CRPF Recruitment 2023 is being conducted to fill 1,29,929 Constable (General Duty) posts in the CRPF. CRPF recruitment process includes a written examination, physical standard test (PST), physical efficiency test (PET), and medical examination.

The total number of vacancies available is 129929, out of which 125262 are for male candidates and 4667 for female candidates (subject to change based on workload).

CRPF Constable Recruitment Selection Process

The selection process for CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) constable consists of several stages. The detailed selection process is as follows:

1. Physical Standards Test (PST): In the first stage, candidates have to undergo a physical standards test. The test includes height, chest, and weight measurements.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for the PST have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test. The test includes a race of more than a km, which has to be completed within the given time limit.
3. Written Test: Candidates who qualify for the PET have to appear for a written test. The test consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on general knowledge, general awareness, math, and reasoning.
4. Trade Test: Candidates who clear the written test are called for a trade test. The trade test assesses the skills and knowledge of the candidate related to the trade.
5. Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the trade test have to undergo a medical examination to ensure they are medically fit for the job.
6. Document Verification: The final stage of the selection process is document verification. Candidates have to produce all the necessary documents, including educational certificates, caste certificates, etc.

The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in all the stages of the selection process.

CRPF Constable Recruitment 2023 Age Limit

CRPF Constable Recruitment Notification 2023 Age Limit is as follows –

• The age of candidates applying for the position should fall between 18 and 23 years, with a relaxation of five years for Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes candidates and three years for Other Backward Classes candidates.
• The date which will be considered for determining the age limit will be specified by the Staff Selection Commission in the advertisement.
• Additionally, the upper age limit for candidates from the first batch of Ex-Agniveers may be relaxed by up to five years, while for candidates of Ex-Agniveers, the upper age limit may be relaxed by up to three years.

The position falls under General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial Combatant) and is classified under the Level-3 pay matrix with a salary range of Rs. 21700-69100. Selected candidates will be required to undergo a probationary period of two years.

• To be eligible for the CRPF constable (GD) posts, candidates must have passed Matric or an equivalent examination from a board or university recognized by either the Central Government or State Government.
• For Ex-Army personnel, an equivalent Army qualification will also be accepted. Additionally, candidates are required to meet the physical and medical standards that the Central Government has prescribed from time to time.
• In order to be considered for the position, candidates must pass both the Physical Efficiency Test and the written examination, as specified in the recruitment advertisement for Constable (General Duty).
• Note: Ex-Agniveers shall be exempted from Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
