Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates intending to appear for the Indian Air Force Agniveer 2025 exam must be aware of the eligibility criteria. Age Requirements
Candidates must be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit will be 21 years at the time of enrolment if the candidate clears all selection stages.
Marital Status
Only unmarried candidates (both male and female) are eligible to apply. Female candidates must also undertake to remain non-pregnant during the engagement period. Any Agniveervayu who marries during the four-year engagement period will be discharged from service.
Educational Qualifications:
For Science Subjects: Must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English. Alternatively, a three-year engineering diploma with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English or a vocational course with Physics and Mathematics.
For Other than Science Subjects: Must have passed 10+2 in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.

Domicile:
Candidates need to choose a domicile category (Permanent Domicile or Children of Air Force Personnel) during registration and submit the appropriate certificate.
Medical Standards:
Height: Minimum 152 cm for both male and female candidates.
Chest: Male candidates must have a chest circumference of at least 77 cm with a 5 cm expansion; Female candidates must have a chest expansion of 5 cm.
Hearing: Normal hearing ability (can hear a forced whisper from 6 meters).
Vision: 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6.
Body Tattoos: Permanent tattoos are not permitted, but tattoos on the inner forearms and specific tribal tattoos may be considered.
Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment: Selection Process
The recruitment process for the Indian Air Force Agniveer 2025 is conducted by the Indian Air Force to recruit young candidates for the defense services. The selection process for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2026 consists of three phases:
Phase-I: Online Test
The first phase is an online written test, which is divided into two sections. Candidates opting for Science Subjects will have 60 minutes to complete the exam, while candidates applying under the Other than Science Subjects category will have 45 minutes. Both categories will be given a total of 85 minutes for the entire test. The marking scheme is as follows: +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for incorrect answers.
Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who clear the written test will proceed to Phase-II, which includes a 1.6 km run. Male candidates must complete the run in 7 minutes, while female candidates have 8 minutes. In addition to the run, other physical exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, and squats are also conducted to assess the physical fitness of candidates. Candidates shall also have to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within the stipulated time to qualify for the Physical Fitness Test.
Phase-III: Medical Examination
Candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test will undergo a Medical Examination, conducted by an IAF Medical Team according to the medical standards set by the Indian Air Force. This phase ensures that candidates meet the health requirements needed for service.
Adaptability Tests I & II
In these final tests, candidates are evaluated for their adaptability to IAF operations and the military lifestyle. These tests assess how well candidates can cope with the rigorous demands and challenges of serving in the Indian Air Force.
Indian Airforce Agniveer Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern
The Airmen Science group consists of three subjects: English, Mathematics, and Physics. The exam includes a total of 70 questions, with 20 questions from English, 25 questions from Mathematics, and 25 questions from Physics.
