How to Apply Offline for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024?

To apply offline for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024, which is now closed, the application form had to be filled out in English or Hindi as per the prescribed format provided in Annexure-I. Applicants were required to attach self-attested copies of the documents listed in the notification, including a self-attested color photograph affixed to the form, with the name and date clearly mentioned.
(a) Aadhaar Card
(b) Matriculation or equivalent mark sheet and certificate alongwith formula for conversion of CGPA/Grade with percentage.
(c) Diploma/ Industrial Training Institute (ITI) mark sheets and certificate as per the essential eligibility mentioned at para 1 above alongwith formula for conversion of CGPA/Grade with percentage.
(d) Latest category certificate (SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS) for reserved category candidates.
(e) Experience Certificate as mentioned at para 1 above.
(f) NOC from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable).
(g) Two latest passport size colour photographs (Not more than three months old) front portrait with light background without headgear (except for Sikhs).
(h) Applicants are to enclose a separate blank envelope with Rs. 50/- postal stamp (pasted on the envelope) add      ressed to themselves with the application.

Indian Coast Guard Education Qualification

To apply for the various posts under the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications for each role:

Chargeman (Group B):
Candidates must hold a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Electronics Engineering, or Production Engineering to be eligible for this position.

Draughtsman (Group C):
Applicants should possess a Diploma or Draughtsmanship Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Ship Construction.

MTS (Peon):
For the MTS Peon (ICG Peon) position, candidates who have completed their 10th or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply.

– 2 years experience in hull repair, general engineering, or Electrical/Electronics trades.
Not exceeding 30 years Chennai, Goa, Tuticorin, Visakhapatnam

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting Candidates: All applications will be reviewed for eligibility. Only shortlisted candidates will receive admit cards, which will be sent by post.
  2. Document Verification and Written Exam: Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and a written examination. The date, time, and venue of the exam will be communicated on the admit card.
  3. Biometric Capture: Candidates will undergo biometric capture (photograph & thumb impression) during document verification. Original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies will be required.
  4. Written Examination: The exam will be OMR-based, with 80 objective questions. It will be bilingual (English & Hindi), and each correct answer will earn 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
  5. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the written exam scores. In case of a tie, older candidates will be ranked higher. The merit list will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website along with further instructions.
