3 Dead, 11 Injured in Explosion on Board Destroyer at Mumbai Dockyard INS Ranvir

“In an unfortunate incident today at Naval Dockyard Mumbai, three naval personnel succumbed to injuries caused by an explosion in an internal compartment onboard INS Ranvir”.

This release came from ministry shortly after an unfortunate accident which cost us life of our precious gems. Reportedly  three navy personnel succumbed to injuries due to an explosion in INS Ranvir, The reasons of Explosion are not yet clear however no material loss was recorded but the lives we lost has brought the nation in a deep Mourning state.

As per the sources the Explosion occurred around 4;30 pm, it was confirmed that the Explosion was not caused by weapon or ammunition, a board of Inquiry has been set to further investigate the matter. following the explosion the response of the crew was quick and the situation was under control but injuries resulted in the death of three personnel.

,The name of the deceased personnel are(MCPO) Krishan Kumar, Surinder Kumar MCPO II and AK Singh MCPO II, In a statement, the Indian Navy said it extends condolences to the families of the  three personnel “We fully stand by with the families in this difficult time.”

The Accident has rendered 11 personnel in serious Injuries,INS Ranvir had been on cross-coast operational deployment from the Eastern Naval Command since November 2021 and was due to return to the base port shortly, the Navy said.

What has happened can’t be reversed, those who were present there would only know how hard the time was , and the families which lost their loved ones are going through a very hard time, what we can do is expend our condolences to them and pray for the peace of their family. we wish a quick and complete recovery to the injured ones.
