Indian Army JAG Entry 2024, Apply Online
The law graduates interested in joining the Indian Army as the Judge Advocate General can apply online by clicking on the direct link given below or by logging in to the Indian Army official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates can apply for Indian Army JAG Entry from 15th July 2024 to 13th August 2024.
JAG Entry 2024, Educational Qualifications
Candidates interested in applying for the JAG entry for April 2025 Course should must have minimum 55% aggregate marks in their LLB Degree. In addition, CLAT PG 2024 Score is mandatory for all candidates (including LLM qualified and LLM appearing candidates) who apply for courses starting in a particular year. The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.
- Candidates should have scored 55% Aggregate marks in their LLB Degree.
- Candidate must have Mandatory CLAT PG Score
- Candidates should be eligible to become Advocate with Bar council of India.
Age Limit for JAG Entry 2024
To apply for the JAG Entry 2024, Candidates must be aged between 21 years to 27 years as on 01 Jan 2025. A candidate must be born not earlier than 02 Jan 1998 and not later than 01 Jan2004, both dates inclusive. Candidates should note that the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

How to Apply for JAG Entry Indian Army
- Applications will only be accepted online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Click on ‘Officer Entry Appln/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (Registrations not required, if already registered on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).
- Fill the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully. After getting registered, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard. A page ‘Officers Selection – ‘Eligibility’ will open.
- Then click ‘Apply’ shown against Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course. A page ‘Application Form’ will open.
- Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill in details as required under various segments. Personal information, Communication details, Education details and details of previous SSB.
- ‘Save & Continue’ each time before you go to the next segment. After filling details on the last segment, you will move to a page ‘Summary of your information’ wherein you can check and edit the entries already made.
- Only after ascertaining the correctness of all your details, click on ‘Submit’. Candidates must click on ‘Submit’ each time they open the application for editing any details.
- The candidates are required to take out two copies of their application having Roll Number, 30 minutes after final closure of online application on last day.
Salary Structure of JAG Entry 2024
The Candidates selected through the JAG Entry will join the Short Service Commission for 10 years in the Indian Army. Here is the list of how the promotion criteria is decided.

Through JAG Entry 2024, Law graduated will join the Indian Army on the rank of Lieutenant, the basic pay will start from Rs56,100 .

JAG Entry: Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting of Applications – Candidates who will apply for the JAG Entry will be shortlisted by the Indian Army from the application form criteria. The shortlisted candidates will receive email on the registered email id consisting of the login details to select the SSB Interview Date and Time. Candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centers, Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (PB). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre on candidate’s registered e-mail id and SMS only.
- Candidates will be put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days.
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
