The SSB Interview plays an very important step in the Selection of a candidate to join the Indian Armed forces as an Officer. Be it the Indian Army, Indian Navy or Indian Air Force, a candidate needs to clear the SSB Interview process to get selected into the reputed Indian Armed Forces. In this Article, we are going to discuss about the lecturette, which is one of the 9 Group Task organised assessed by the GTO Officer.

What is Lecturette Task?

The Lecturette task is one of the GTO Tasks organized by the Selection Centre Boards of Indian Armed Forces. The Lecturette task is performed with a group of other candidates. All Candidates have to choose any one topic from the Three chits picked by them from the bowl having multiple chits. Each chit have a topic on it and candidate have to pick a chit and give an lecturette on that particular topic by preparing it on site. All Candidates will be given time to prepare for the topic.

SSB Interview Lecturette Topics

The Screened In candidates have to undergo a set of procedure set by the Recruitment Board. The lecturette is usually conducted on the Third or Fourth Day of the SSB Interview depending on the chest number of the candidates. The Topics  in the Lecturette are often related to the National and International News and Events, or the Evergreen Topics. How to Prepare for SSB lecturette?

Candidates should not take the Lecturette lightly. Even though it is conducted as a group activity. It is in the hands of Candidates and individual traits of a candidate is accessed during it. A candidate can easily prepare for the SSB Interview by following the following steps

  • Read Books Aloud :- By Reading Books, you will get the knowledge of framing the sentence. By Reading the Book aloud, you will get clear sentence speech, your way of pronunciation will improve and you will be able to adjust the pitch of your sound according to the requirement of the Senetence.
  • Read Newspaper :- Every Defence Aspirant should make a habit of reading the newspaper on the daily basis. Reading Newspaper keeps updated to the surrounding on both national and international level.
  • Watch Youtube Videos :- Candidates should make full use of the technology. There are hundreds of youtubers who create content related to the Current and trending topics. Candidates should watch the youtube videos to get the clear understanding of the topic. However, It is important that the source you are following should not be biased.
  • Speak infront of Mirror :- Many a times candidates fear because of lack of exposure to the public speaking. To overcome the fear of public speaking, Aspirants should prepare a topic and speak that aloud in front of the mirror. By doing this, you will believe in yourself and will also be able to know the areas in  which you need to improve.
