The National Defence Academy (NDA) serves as the foremost institution for military training in India. It offers a comprehensive three-year program designed to prepare young individuals for a rewarding career in the Indian Armed Forces. The training at NDA is holistic in nature, encompassing intellectual development, physical fitness enhancement, and military education. The academy aims to provide a well-rounded and demanding training experience that equips cadets with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve the nation effectively as military personnel.

NDA 3 Years Training Fees After Selection

The NDA academic year consists of two terms: January to May and July to December. Cadets go through six of these terms during their three-year training phase. When candidates enroll in the course, they may have concerns about the NDA 3 Years Training Fees associated with the NDA 3-Year Course.

The good news is that the government covers the expenses related to NDA training, including lodging, books, uniforms, boarding, and medical treatment. However, cadets’ parents or guardians are expected to take care of their personal expenditures. Generally, these expenses are unlikely to exceed INR 3000 per month.

In cases where parents or guardians are unable to fully cover the expenses, the government may provide financial assistance of INR 1000 per month during the training term. This assistance is applicable if the parents income falls below INR 21,000 per month. However, if the parents’ or guardians’ monthly income exceeds INR 21,000, the cadet will not be eligible for financial support.

It is to be noted that if multiple sons or wards from the same family are attending NDA, IMA, OTA, or similar training establishments in the Navy and Air Force simultaneously, both will be entitled to financial aid.

These provisions aim to ensure that candidates can pursue their NDA 3 Years Training without undue financial burden, providing equal opportunities for all aspiring cadets.

NDA Training Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for enrollment in NDA 3 Years Training, candidates must fulfill certain qualifying requirements. These requirements include:

• Gender Inclusivity: The NDA Exam is open to both men and women candidates.

• Age Criteria: Candidates must fall within the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years at the time of applying for the NDA Exam.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have either appeared or completed their 12th grade (or equivalent) education from a recognized board.

• Height Requirement: Male candidates should have a minimum height of 157 cm, while female candidates should have a minimum height of 152.5 cm. However, for entry into the Pilot stream, the minimum height requirement is set at 162 cm.
• Relaxation for Certain Locations: Some specific locations may have relaxed height restrictions for candidates, allowing for variations in height requirements based on regional factors.

These qualifying requirements ensure that candidates meet the necessary criteria to be considered for enrollment in NDA training.
