The UPSC will conduct the CAPF AC Exam on 3 August 2025. The Examination will be conducted in One day throughout India. CAPF Exam comprises two papers: Paper in the morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, and Paper 2 in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Exam Pattern

The UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2025 exam pattern comprises two phases. The first phase is a written test consisting of two parts: Paper I and Paper II. In Paper I, there will be a negative marking where 0.33 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

UPSC CAPF AC 2025 Syllabus

UPSC CAPF syllabus is different for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. A candidate must know the Exam syllabus to clear the exam with good marks.

UPSC CAPF Paper 1 Syllabus

Paper 1 of the UPSC CAPF is an objective-type paper. Candidates should make proper notes of every topic in a detailed manner so that they can revise them at the end moment. It is advised to follow limited resources and revise them only multiple times to retain them in memory. The CAPF AC Syllabus 2025 paper 1 consists of the following subjects and topics.

Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence Test

The objective-type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following
areas:
1. General Mental Ability- The questions will be designed to test logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude including
numerical ability, and data interpretation.
2. General Science-The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and
appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance
like Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Environmental Science.
3. Current Events of National and International Importance:- The questions will test the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international
importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and
developmental issues, industry, business, globalization, and interplay among nations.
4. Indian Polity and Economy:-The questions shall aim to test candidates’ knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in India,
regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators.
5. History of India:- The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic, and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement.
6. Indian and World Geography:- The questions shall cover the physical, social, and economic aspects of the geography of India and the World.

Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension

Part-A

Essay questions are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or English totaling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history, especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.

Part-B

Comprehension, Précis writing, other communications/language skills in English only (Marks 120) – The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counterarguments, simple grammar, and other aspects of language testing.

UPSC CAPF AC Paper 2 Syllabus

The CAPF AC Syllabus 2025 paper 2 consists of subjects like: General Studies, Essay (English or Hindi), précis writing & Comprehension. Given below is the detailed CAPF AC Syllabus 2025 for paper 2.

UPSC CAPF AC 2025 Selection Process

The Selection process of the CAPF 2025 is rigorous demanding consistent efforts towards the goal. The Written examination is the first stage exam in which two papers are conducted. Candidates must fulfill the physical standards specified by UPSC to be eligible for the exam. UPSC CAPF Physical Fitness Test

A candidate should be in proper shape and size to pass the physical fitness test. He/She should devote at least one to two hours a day to increasing the physical capability and stamina to perform well in the Physical fitness test. UPSC CAPF AC Interview

Candidates who pass the Medical Standards Tests will move on to the Interview/Personality Test conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). If a candidate is initially declared medically unfit but is allowed to appeal and appear before a “Review Medical Board,” they will also be provisionally called for the Interview/Personality Test.

The Interview/Personality Test is worth 150 marks. Shortlisted candidates, including those provisionally shortlisted, will receive a Detailed Application Form (DAF). In the DAF, candidates must indicate their preference for the Forces and provide other required details.

Candidates should prepare for the Interview/Personality Test by improving their speaking and behavior skills.
