RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2024 New Notification Out, Check the Latest Notifictaion

The railway Recruitment Board will soon be conducting the RRB Paramedical Recruitment for 1,376 vacancies. A latest notification ahs been out by the Board on 3 September 2024. The notification is regarding the eligibility criteria for the candidates with LASIK surgery. For the complete details on eligibility requirememts for the aspirants with LASIK or anay other surgery, go through this article.

Candiadates with LASIK Suregry Eligibility Criteria

Previously, aspirants who had undergone LASIK surgery or similar procedures to correct refractory errors were deemed ineligible for the RRB Parmedical Recrutiment requiring Medical Standards B1. However, as per the latest notification, such candidates may now be considered eligible for such posts under certain conditions:

No complications from the LASIK surgery should be observed.
The surgery must have been performed at least one year prior, with substantiation through a medical certificate from the specialist who performed the surgery.
The residual corneal thickness post-LASIK should be no less than 425 microns.
The candidate's visual acuity must meet the standards outlined in Para 512(1)(A) of the IRMM, Vol. I, Third Edition 2000.
The fundus must be normal, with no evidence of progressive eye disease.
