ARCI Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) has announced 12 posts for Scientists, Technical Assistants, etc. The candidates willing to apply for the same should know the Eligibility Criteria for each post tabulated below:

1)	Scientist“G”	Eligibility for Deputation: Scientists or Technologists working in the Central/State Governments/ Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Semi-government, Statutory or Autonomous Organizations in India or abroad: holding analogous posts; or with 2 years service in posts in the pay level 13 A (pre-revised 37,400-67,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8,900/-) or equivalent; and possessing the educational qualifications and experience mentioned. Eligibility for Direct Recruitment: Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Physical Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent from a recognized University. Desirable Qualification: Doctorate or equivalent in a related subject from a recognized University. Experience in evolving, managing, and directing major scientific or technology development Published research work of high standard and/or good record of patents granted/filed. Experience: 15 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial/Academic Institutions and/or Science & Technology Organizations out of which 5 years should be in administering, planning, development, and coordination of R&D and related areas. He/She shall have expertise in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering fields.
2)	Scientist “B” (R&D)	M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science OR B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgical/Materials/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
3)	Technical Assistant “A”	Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Physical Sciences (Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science as one of the subjects) OR three (3) years full-time Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/recognized Board of Technical Education of Central or State Government. Desirable Qualification: Prior technical experience in industry/R&D laboratories. Candidates with experience in the operation & maintenance of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)/Chemical Analysis & Corrosion studies/Sol preparations/Operation & maintenance of Electrical sub-stations will have an added advantage and such candidates if applied for the post may be given age Good interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to multi-task will be an added
4)	Technician “A”	Matriculation/10th pass 2 years full-time ITI in Electrical/Fitter trade from a recognized Board of Technical Education of Central or State Government; and 3 years of technical experience in Industry/R&D
