ASI Post Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the positions, it is crucial to meet the specific eligibility criteria outlined by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). These criteria primarily include educational qualifications, age limit, and relevant experience.

Who Can Apply:

This recruitment is open to officers from the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory Administration, Public Sector Undertakings, Research Institutions, Universities, and Statutory or Autonomous Organizations.

• A degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution is required.
• Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the planning, execution, and supervision of civil engineering works, preferably in government departments or at archaeological/heritage sites.

Experience:

Candidates should fulfill one of the following conditions:

• Hold analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department, OR
• Have at least 5 years of regular service in Level 10 of the pay matrix.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not exceed 56 years of age as of the closing date of the application.

ASI Superintending Archaeological Engineer Salary 2025

After the final selection, candidates will be offered a position in Level 11 of the Pay Matrix, with a salary range of ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700. This is a highly rewarding opportunity, offering both a competitive salary and the prestige of working with the Archaeological Survey of India.
