According to the latest data released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in response to an RTI request, a total of 4,83,557 candidates have applied for the SSC JE Exam 2024. It is noteworthy that the SSC has only 968 vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer. Additionally, the SSC has also announced the category-wise number of RTI requests submitted. As per the SSC, 80,839 General, 2,07,829 OBC, 1,13,588 SC, 44,222 ST, and 31,345 EWS candidates have filled out the application form for the SSC JE 2024 Exam.

As 4,83,557 applicants are preparing to appeal against the 968 vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer.
