How Many Attempts Are There In SSC JE?

Candidates appearing for Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer Exam (SSC JE) have this common question in mind – How many times they can appear for this exam? The answer to this question is as many times as they want , provided their age lies in the range where they are eligible for giving this exam. Age limit for SSC JE   

While there is no limit on the number of attempts permitted to a candidate to appear for SSC JE , the age limit is a limiting parameter. The age limit varies category wise. A General Category student can appear for SSC JE till 32 years of age, An OBC Category student can appear for SSC JE till 35 years of age , A SC/ST category student can appear till 37 years of age , A PWD category student can apply till 40 years of age.

  • There is no limit on the number of attempts that a candidate can make for the SSC JE Exam, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • The eligibility criteria for the exam include being a citizen of India, a subject of Bhutan, a subject of Nepal, or a Tibetan refugee who shifted permanently to India before January 1, 1962.
  • Additionally, candidates must have completed a degree in Diploma/B.E./B. Tech. in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • The minimum age limit for candidates is 18 years old. Depending on the posts, the maximum age limit varies from 27 to 32 years old for general Category People. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories.
