UPSC IRMS Nationality

The candidates must be any of the following are eligible to apply for IRMS Exam 2023:

• A citizen of India
• A subject of Bhutan
• A subject of Nepal
• A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before January 01, 1962, with the intention to settle permanently in India.
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic

UPSC IRMS Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the minimum educational qualification as under for IRMS Exam 2023:

1. A BE/B. Tech degree from a recognized institute.
2. Cleared sections A and B from the Institutions of Engineers (India).
3. A degree or diploma in Engineering from a foreign college or university. It must be equivalent to the degree in India.
4. Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
5. Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers after 1959 (London).
6. Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III or Sections A and B of Aeronautical Society of India.

UPSC IRMS Age Limit

The age limit of applicants for IRMS Recruitment 2023 should be as under:

• Minimum Age – 21 years
• Maximum Age – 32 years

IRMS Selection Process 2023

The selection process of IRMS Exam 2023 includes the following stages as listed below:

• Preliminary Examination
• Mains Examination
• Personal Interview

IRMS Exam Pattern 2023

The candidates must understand the exam pattern well to get familiar with the exam. The exam pattern consists all the details like number of questions, marking scheme, exam duration, etc. We have covered the detailed IRMS Exam Pattern 2023 in the below section.

IRMS Exam Pattern 2023: Prelims

• The IRMS Prelims Exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
• There is total 400 marks in the prelims exam.
• The Paper 1 will be for 200 marks and Paper 2 will be of 200 marks.
• There is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks in both the papers.
• The duration of this exam would be for 4 hours. Out of these 4 hours, 2 hours would be for paper 1 and 2 hours for paper 2.
• There will be maximum 180 questions in the exam. 100 questions would be asked for paper 1 and 80 questions would be asked for paper 2.
• The marks obtained by the candidates in preliminary exam will not be considered for the final merit list. It’s like a screening test.

IRMS Exam Pattern 2023: Mains

• The IRMS Mains Exam 2023 would be descriptive.
• The time duration of 03 Hours will be provided for each paper.
• The maximum marks for each paper 300 marks for each paper.
• The candidates shall score at least 25% marks in each paper for final selection.
•  The final scores will be calculated out of a total of 1750 marks.

IRMS Exam 2023: Interview

• In the Interview round, the following skills of the candidates are analyzed including Communication Skills, Academic Ability, Professional Knowledge, Personality, Mental Ability, etc.
• The interview will be conducted for total 200 marks.
• The candidates who clear the prelims exam and mains exam would only be called for the Interview round.
• The Interview stage is the final stage of the selection process for the IRMS Exam 2023.
