KPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Exam Pattern 2024

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) will host two papers, paper 1 and paper 2 for selecting the eligible candidates as MVI. The important points related to the KPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Exam Pattern 2024 are given below:

KPSC Exam will be held on the same day for both paper 1 and paper 2.
There will be a total of 200 questions for 1 mark each in KPSC Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Time duration of 90 minutes and 2 Hours will be given to solve the questions in Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively.
In both paper 1 and paper 2 there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.

Syllabus For General Knowledge

General knowledge topics related to current events.
Matters of everyday perception.
School View Subjects of Constitution of India.
History of India especially relating to Karnataka.
Geography of India about Karnataka.
Matters relating to State and Territorial Administration.
Matters relating to the development of the economy of Karnataka including initiatives related to rural development, Panchayat Raj Institutions, and Rural Development Institutions.
Matters relating to environmental issues and development of Karnataka

Kannada Language Test

No candidate shall be eligible for selection unless he has qualified in the Kannada Language Test as specified in sub-rule (7) of the Karnataka Civil Service (Direct Recruitment) (General) Rules 2021 for the said posts. This examination consists of one question paper of a maximum of 150 marks and a candidate must score at least 50 marks on this paper to qualify. The question paper will be prepared with Kannada as the first language at the SSLC level as the standard.

After qualifying in the Kannada language test for the said posts, it is mandatory to secure at least 35% marks in the competitive test conducted as per sub-rule 5(d) of the Karnataka Civil Service (Direct Recruitment) (General) Rules, 2021. Selection will be made based on the percentage of marks secured in this examination (Based on the percentage of marks secured in the Competitive Examination) and according to the prevailing reservation rules.
