The process to apply is summarised here-

1. Candidates must register in the NATS portal and then apply for Graduate Apprentice/Diploma Apprentice from the same portal.
2. Candidate must fill in their details carefully. Candidates should ensure the names they have added, and the details they have given are correct. Candidates should double-check them before submitting them.
3. Candidates are advised to indicate their active Mobile numbers and E-mail IDs and keep the same throughout the process of recruitment.
4. Original Caste Certificates for all categories should be produced at the time of document verification.
5. Provisionally selected candidates having an Aadhar Card shall have to produce the original Aadhar Card or the documents uploaded during the time of registration in the NATS portal at the time of verification.

Metal and Steel Factory Apprentice 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants desiring to join Metal and Steel Factory as apprentices should fulfill certain eligibility criteria required to join the factory. The Age Criteria and Educational Qualification for the posts are given below

Age Limit

For Diploma Holders (Technical): Between 18 to 22 years as of the closing date of application.

For Graduate (Technical)- Between 21 to 25 years as of the closing date of application.

Important Note – If the joining Date of the candidate for Apprenticeship Training in the factory is more than 5 years from the date of passing Diploma/Graduation, then the candidate will not be eligible under the training scheme.

Relaxation in the upper limit of age 

SC/ST Candidate – 05 (Five) Years

OBC(Non -Creamy level certificate)- 03 Years

Persons with Physical Disabilities– 10 Years

Educational Qualification

The Educational Qualification for the posts is given below-

1. A degree in engineering or technology granted by the institutions empowered to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament
2. Graduate Examination of Provisional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree.
3. Sandwich course student who is undergoing training so that he may hold a degree in engineering or technology as mentioned in above two points.

Metal and Steel Factory Apprentice 2024 Salary

The joining individuals as apprentices will get a stipend which is fixed as per the Apprenticeship Rules 1992. The Graduate apprentices will be getting a stipend of Rs 9000/ month and the Technician Apprentices or Diploma Apprentices will be getting a stipend of Rs 8000/ month.
