In addition to the educational qualifications and age limit, there are several other important criteria that candidates must fulfill. Some of these include:

• Health: Candidates must be in good mental and physical health, free from any defects that may hinder the effective performance of the duties associated with the position. If selected, candidates will be required to submit a fitness certificate issued by the Chief Medical and Health Officer or a Medical Jurist of the district in which they ordinarily reside.
• Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan. Additionally, individuals who are Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, or persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, or Ethiopia with the intention of settling permanently in India, are also eligible to apply.
