Selection Process For SJVN Executive Trainee Recruitment 2025
Candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria will be invited for the CBT, a Group Discussion, and an Interview based on category-wise and position-wise merit lists, determined by the cut-off marks set in the SJVN 2025 Recruitment Selection Process.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The first stage of the exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT), which is held online and lasts for 2 hours. The test has two parts:
- The first part has 120 multiple-choice questions based on the candidate’s specific subject or trade.
- The second part has 30 multiple-choice questions that check general ability, such as logical reasoning, intelligence, and basic aptitude.
Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and there is no penalty for wrong answers. The exam is available in both English and Hindi. To pass, General and EWS candidates need to score at least 50% (75 out of 150 marks). SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PwBD candidates need to score at least 40% (60 out of 150 marks). Those who meet these minimum marks will be shortlisted for the next stage based on their performance.
Group Discussion
Candidates who pass the CBT will be called for a Group Discussion. This round checks how well they can communicate, lead a group, work as a team, and handle problems. The Group Discussion carries 10% weight in the final selection process.
Personal Interview
The last stage of the selection process is the Personal Interview. The interview has a 15% weight in the final selection process. In this round, candidates are judged based on how well they know their subject, their personality, how clearly they can express their thoughts, and how suitable they are for the job.

SJVN Executive Trainee Salary 2025
The candidates who will be selected for engineering posts announced under the SJVN Recruitment 2025 will be paid a salary according to the pay scale. Engineers hired by SJVN will receive a monthly salary between Rs. 50000-3%-160000. Besides the basic pay, the Executive Trainee will be entitled to Industrial Dearness Allowance, allowances @ 35% of Basic Pay under cafeteria approach, HRA/ Company Leased Accommodation, Contributory PF, Conveyance Reimbursement, Leave Encashment, Performance Related Pay, Medical Facility for self & dependents, among other perks, as per company policies.
