SSC JE Tier 1 exam is scheduled to be conducted from 5 June to 7 June 2024. As the exam dates are approaching nearer, candidates need to be updated with the exam day guidelines to ensure they don’t miss out on anything on the exam day. A total of 4,83,557 candidates will appear for the SSC JE Tier 1 examination.
The SSC JE Tier 1 exam will be conducted in three shifts per day. The first shift, Shift 1 (9 am -11 am), the second shift, Shift 2 ( 1:00pm to 3:00 pm ), and Shift 3 ( 5pm to 7pm ) will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

SSC JE Exam Day Tips
The important exam tips and guidelines to be followed on the SSC JE Exam Day are written below-
- Candidate should reach the city of the examination where their exam is conducted one day before their examination day. If their examination center is in the same place, they should check the exam location a day before and book their vehicle to reach the examination center.
- Candidates should read everything written on the Admit Card and follow it meticulously. They should keep a downloaded copy of the Admit Card and Xerox of Aadhar Cards for their use.
- They should get proper sleep before the exam day to ensure they remain fresh and recharged on the day of the examination.
- They should remain motivated and confident before the examination. They should believe that they are capable of cracking this examination.
SSC JE Tier 1 Examination Pattern
SSC JE Tier 1 is a 200-mark examination conducted for three subjects. The detailed exam pattern of the SSC JE Tier 1 exam is given below-

SSC JE 2024 Important Documents to Carry
The Staff Selection Commission is conducting the SSC JE Tier 1 examination across 134 cities around the country. Candidate must carry some important documents to the examination center which are described below.
- SSC JE Admit Card – Candidates need to bring their admit card to the examination center. They should download an extra copy of the Admit Card and keep it safe for future use. The SSC JE Admit Card Tie 1 can be downloaded from their official website using the right credentials. The Admit Card covers important information about the candidate such as their name, registration number, roll number, venue of the examination, shift, and timing of examination along with other important information.
- Identification proof – Candidates need to bring one identity proof to the examination center to ensure the proper authencity of the candidates. These ID cards can be Aadhar Cards, Driving licenses, Passports, PAN cards, and Voter IDs for the verification process.
- Passport size photograph – Candidate must carry three copies of passport size photograph to the examination center.
- Other Items– The candidate can also bring other important items like water bottles (if they will be allowed at the examination venue), a handkerchief, and medicines if a candidate requires them.
