10th Food Analyst Examination Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Agriculture Science, Animal Science, Fisheries Science, Biotechnology, Food Safety, Food Technology, Food and Nutrition, Dairy Technology, Oil Technology, or Veterinary Sciences. Degrees should be from a university established in India by law or be an Associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) through the Food Analysts examination.
  • Experience: Candidates must have at least three years of experience in food analysis at recognized institutions, research institutions, or research laboratories after obtaining the minimum required academic qualifications.
  • Age Limit: No age restriction exists for candidates appearing in the 10th FAE 2024. There is no reservation in place for this examination as it is not linked to employment.
  • Junior Analysts: Junior Analysts with the requisite three years of experience may appear for the Practical Examination of the 10th FAE 2024 following the Computer-Based Test. This opportunity is available only once. Completing the Practical Examination will qualify the Junior Analyst as a Food Analyst.
  • Practical Examination: Only candidates who qualify for the Computer Based Test and meet the eligibility criteria will be eligible to appear in the Practical Examination. Dates for the Practical Examination will be announced separately.

  • Application Submission: Submit applications exclusively through the online portal. Applications sent through other methods will not be considered.
  • Name Details: Ensure that your first, middle, and last names are accurately entered. The name on the registration form must exactly match the names on your academic and experience documents. No changes will be accepted after registration.
  • Document Verification: The names on your academic and experience documents must match those on the registration form. Discrepancies, such as name changes, must be supported by official documents (e.g., Marriage Certificate) at the time of application. All required documents must be uploaded with the application, and no revisions or resubmissions will be allowed.
  • Educational Qualification and Experience: Strict adherence to educational qualifications and experience requirements is mandatory. Submit scanned copies of original degree certificates or Provisional Degree Certificates; mark sheets are not acceptable. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in food analysis at recognized institutions or research laboratories. Experience certificates must follow the prescribed format.
