The Bihar Staff Selection Commission has announced 201 vacancies for the position of Field Assistant. If the number of applications exceeds 40,000, a preliminary examination will be conducted.  The preliminary exam conducted to shortlist candidates for the main examination will be objective. The number of candidates selected for the main exam will be five times the number of vacancies in each category, and a separate advertisement will be published for the main examination.

Bihar Field Assistant Exam Pattern 2025

The details of the Bihar Field Assistant Exam Pattern 2025 are as follows:

• The preliminary exam will be objective type.
• The preliminary exam will have one paper, General Knowledge.
• The paper will include questions from General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, and Mental Ability Test (Comprehension/Logic/Reasoning/Mental Ability).
• The exam will consist of 150 objective and multiple-choice questions.
• Each correct answer will carry 4 marks, and each incorrect answer will deduct 1 mark.
• The exam duration will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.
• The language of the preliminary exam will be Hindi/English.
• In case of any discrepancy between the Hindi and English versions, the English version will be considered valid.
