The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the schedule for the Block Horticulture Officer Competitive Examination (Advertisement No. 24/2024), which will be held at examination centers in Patna on August 12-13, 2024. The exam will be conducted as follows:

Candidates are advised to begin downloading their admit cards as soon as possible. Before doing so, ensure that you have uploaded an updated passport-sized photograph (25KB) to your dashboard. If there are any discrepancies in the name, father’s name, or mother’s name in your online application, correct these details before downloading your admit card. The e-Admit Card will include the examination center code and the district name.
Please note the following:
- Download and Print: Download and print your e-Admit Card by August 11, 2024. Ensure you have an extra copy to present at the examination center. Hand over the signed admit card to the invigilator during the exam.
- Examination Center Information: Detailed information regarding your examination center code will be available from August 10, 2024.
- Entry Timing: Candidates will be allowed entry to the examination center only 1 hour before the exam starts. Entry will be closed 1 hour before the exam commences. After the exam, you must leave the examination hall only after handing over the used OMR Answer Sheet.

Instructions for Candidates
Due to issues with some candidates’ photographs and signatures in the online applications, please follow the instructions below to ensure your eligibility for the exam:
- Declaration Form: Obtain the declaration form from the Commission’s website at www.bpsc.bih.nic.in. Paste a color photograph, attested by a Gazetted Officer, in the designated area on the form. Sign in both Hindi and English in the specified locations.
- Photograph Requirements: Paste one color photograph, attested by a Gazetted Officer, at the indicated place on your e-admit card. Bring a second color photograph to be pasted on the additional e-admit card. This must be presented to the Center Superintendent at your examination center.
- Identity Proof: Provide a photocopy of one valid ID proof (PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, or Passport), attested by a Gazetted Officer. Keep the original ID proof with you for verification purposes.
- Verification Process: The Center Superintendent will verify all submitted documents and photographs. You will be allowed to take the examination only after successful verification of all documents.
Important Guidelines for Block Horticulture Officer Examination
As the Block Horticulture Officer (V. No. 24/2024) examination approaches, candidates are advised to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful examination experience:
- Arrival Time and Entry Policy: Candidates must reach the examination center at least 2.5 hours before the start of the exam. Entry will not be permitted within 1 hour of the examination’s start time. Candidates should carefully read and follow the “Essential Instructions” provided on their admit card.
- e-Admit Card Requirements: Ensure that the Roll No. and bar codes are clearly printed on the e-Admit card. If the bar code is not visible, try downloading the admit card again using a different browser.
- Identity Proof: Bring the photo identity card listed in the online application to the examination center. Failure to present the ID may result in denial of entry.
- OMR Answer Sheet Instructions: The series of the Question Booklet will be indicated on the OMR Answer Sheet. Write the Question Booklet number and Roll No. on the sheet, and ensure only the roll number circle is colored in.
- Provisional Entry and Candidature Verification: Candidates are allowed to take the exam on a provisional basis. The Commission will make a final decision on their candidature based on the verification of the information provided in the online application. If discrepancies are found in the application details during the verification process, the candidate’s application may be canceled, and they may be barred from current and future examinations.
- Prohibited Items and Conduct: The use of electronic items such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi gadgets, electronic pens, and smartwatches is strictly prohibited within the examination center. Violation of this rule will result in legal action under the Bihar Examination Conducting Act, 1981, and could be considered malpractice. Candidates involved in misconduct or spreading misleading information about the examination will face a five-year ban from all Commission’s examinations, while those spreading false rumors will face a three-year ban.
