Maharashtra Forest Guard Selection Process

The selection process for the Maharashtra Forest Guard position involves three different stages designed to assess the suitability of candidates for the role:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT): This initial stage consists of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer scores 1 mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for the CBT move on to the Physical Efficiency Test. This test evaluates candidates’ physical fitness through tasks such as running, long jump, and high jump.
  • Document Verification: Once candidates clear the PET, they undergo document verification to confirm their eligibility based on educational qualifications, age, caste, and other criteria as per the Maharashtra Forest Guard Notification.
