AP Constable Educational Qualifications

Intermediate or its equivalent examination. In case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, he/she must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination and must have studied Intermediate and appeared in 1st year and 2nd year intermediate examinations.

AP Constable Age Limit

  • Applicants with proof of residence of Andhra Pradesh or AP applying for constable posts must be between 18 years to 34 years of age.
  • Candidates aged between 18 years to 26 years from other states are eligible to apply.
  • Age relaxation is available for reserved candidates. Check the official notification for more details regarding age relaxation.

AP Police Constable Selection Process

The selection Process of AP Police Constable includes 3 stages they are:

  • Preliminary Exam,
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and
  • Final Written Exam.

Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination are eligible for the next level examination.

The Preliminary Exam is a written test with multiple questions, while the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test examine a candidate’s physical ability.

Finally, candidates who qualify these physical tests are allowed to appear for the Andhra Pradesh Police Mains Exam, which is an exam consisting of multiple choice questions.
