Canara Bank Apprentice Salary 2024

The Canara Bank Apprentice Salary/ Stipend is fixed. Candidates selected as apprentice are eligible to get a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000. This stipend includes the subsidy of Rs. 4,500 from government and it will be credited into bank account through DBT. The Canara Bank will pay Rs.10,500 for apprentice on monthly basis. There will be no deductions in the salary and the bank will directly pay monthly stipend into the candidates bank account.

Canara Bank Apprentice Salary Structure 2024

Candidates who get selected as apprentices will get a monthly salary of Rs. 15,000/- per month which includes Rs. 10,500/- as a contribution by the Bank and Rs. 4,500/- as a Government subsidy.

Canara Bank Apprentice Salary Allowance

The monthly stipend of the Apprentice in Canara Bank includes only contributions by the Bank and subsidies by the Government. Candidates are not entitled to any allowances or benefits other than the salary. Allowances like HRA, DA, etc. are now included in the monthly allowances.

Profile:

The candidates engaged as apprentice will not be treated as bank employees. Apprentice stipend will not include any benefits which are available for the regular employees.

Apprenticeship Training Duration:

The candidates selected as Canara Bank Apprentice will have to work as apprentice for a period of One year.

Duration of work:

The candidates selected as apprentice will be provided On Job Training (OJT). The duration of working hours are similar to the clerical cadre of the bank.

Overtime:

Apprentices are usually not allowed to work overtime. The apprenticeship adviser is responsible to grant overtime and in exceptional cases unless he is satisfied that such overtime is in the interest of the training of the apprentice or in the public interest.

Holidays:

Apprentice holidays are entitled to the branch/bank which he/she is undergoing training.

Leaves:

Apprentices are eligible for 12 Casual leaves in a year and one casual leave upon completion of one month of apprenticeship. He/ She can avail 4 Casual leaves at a time and unused leaves will automatically get exhausted on completion of contract.

Conduct and Discipline:

Apprentice should have good discipline, and any misconduct may lead to the termination of apprenticeship. The apprentice shall be prohibited from joining/forming any union body.

Termination of Apprenticeship:

The contract of the apprenticeship will be terminated by the bank upon 7 days’ notice. The contract of Apprenticeship shall be terminated if:

• The apprentice does not report at the Bank’s Training Venue/Bank branch on the date of OJT.
• Any misbehaviour/ disobedience/ unsatisfactory performance/ any other act prejudicial to the interest of the bank.

Other Information:

• PF, ESI, Bonus, and other benefits are not applicable to apprenticeship.
• No obligation to offer regular employment to apprentice after completion of apprenticeship.
• Candidates will be relieved from the respective work area/branch upon completion of their apprenticeship.

Canara Bank Apprentice Career Growth

Candidates selected as Canara Bank Apprentices will serve for a period of 12 months. It’s important to note that neither the bank nor the candidates have any obligation or right to convert this apprenticeship into a full-time or regular employment position. However, after completing the apprenticeship, candidates can apply for roles such as Customer Support Executive, Teller, or Office Staff in other private banks.
