The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has released the Bihar Police Constable PET 2024 date along with the admit card on 21st November 2024. Candidates who are shortlisted for the Bihar Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test must check the physical exam schedule which is published on the official website of CSBC @https://csbc.bihar.gov.in. CSBC will conduct the Bihar Police Constable physical efficiency test from 9th December 2024 onwards.
Bihar Police Constable PET 2024
The Bihar Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC). It is the second phase of the recruitment process following the written examination. The PET assesses candidates on different physical tasks to evaluate their fitness levels and suitability for police constable roles. As per the result announced on 14th November 2024, 1,06,555 candidates are shortlisted for the Bihar Police Constable physical exam.

Bihar Police Constable Physical Eligibility Test (PET) Details
The PET consists of multiple physical tasks designed to assess the endurance & strength of candidates. The key components include:
Race (Running)
Male Candidates: Required to complete a 1.6 km race in 6 minutes or less.
Female Candidates: Required to complete a 1 km race in 5 minutes or less.
High Jump
Male Candidates: Minimum of 4 feet.
Female Candidates: Minimum of 3 feet.
Shot Put Throw
Male Candidates: Required to throw a 16-pound shot put over a minimum distance of 16 feet.
Female Candidates: Required to throw a 12-pound shot put over a minimum distance of 10 feet.
Bihar Police Constable Physical Standard Test (PST) Details
The Bihar Police Physical Standard Test is essentially a screening process to check if candidates meet the required physical standards for height, weight, and chest measurements. These criteria differ based on gender and category.

- General Category (Male): Minimum 165 cm
- EBC/SC/ST (Male): Minimum 160 cm

- General/EBC/BC (Male): 81 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum 5 cm expansion (up to 86 cm)
- SC/ST (Male): 79 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum 5 cm expansion (up to 84 cm)

- Running: Candidates should Start with short distances and build up their endurance through interval training. It is also important to pay equal attention on pacing and breathing techniques to improve performance.
- High Jump: Practice jump techniques such as the “scissor” jump. Strengthen your legs with exercises like squats and lunges to increase your jumping height.
- Shot Put: Focus on strengthening your upper body and improving grip strength. Candidates should include shoulder and triceps exercises in their workout routine.
