Steps to Apply for Patna High Court Vacancy 2024

You must read the detailed notification PDF before starting the online application form. It must be ensured that they have an active email address and mobile number, which need to be kept until the final results are published. Additionally, candidates should have all relevant documents and certificates ready when filling out the application form.

1. Visit the official website and go to the “Recruitments” section on homepage of the Patna High Court’s official website (http://patnahighcourt.gov.in).
2. Click on the link for “Translator and Translator-Cum-Proof Reader (For SUVAS Cell) Recruitment Examination, 2024.” And select “Apply online.”
3. Now, proceed to the “New Registration” link to begin registration.
4. On the registration page, candidates must provide their full name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, reservation category, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc. After verification, a registration number and password will be generated and communicated via SMS/email.
5. Candidates should print the registration page for future reference.
6. Now proceed to the application form fill and provide all the essential details, upload documents, and pay the application fee.
7. After form fill up, go through the details once again, and at last pay the fee and then submit the form.

Patna High Court Translator Application Fee

The application fee must be paid exclusively through online mode and applications submitted without the required fee will not be accepted. The examination fee is non-refundable. Also, Fee concessions are available only to SC/ST/OH candidates from Bihar.

Patna High Court Translator Vacancy 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the Translator post, candidates are required to go through the eligibility criteria. It includes nationality, age limit, qualification, etc. The candidates must be a citizen of India and should be mentally and physically fit to perform the duties.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for direct recruitment to the post of “Translator” and “Translator-cum-Proof Reader” must be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2024. This means that candidates should not have a birthdate later than January 1, 2006.

Qualification

As of January 1st, 2024, applicants for the post of Translator must meet the following essential qualifications and eligibility criteria:
(i) A bachelor’s degree with English as one of the subjects from a recognized university.
(ii) Proficiency in Hindi is required.
(iii) A diploma or certificate in Computer Application of at least six months duration from a recognized institution.
(iv) Candidates with a Law degree will be given preference.
(v) Preference will also be given to candidates who know Urdu, Maithili, or Santhali.

Patna High Court Translator Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be done through the following stages:

(i) Written test (Qualifying Marks: 40%)
(ii) Computer Proficiency Test with a minimum speed of 20 words per minute in Hindi. (Qualifying Marks: 40%)
(iii) Interview (Qualifying Marks: 30%)

Candidates appointed for the post of Translator and Translator cum Proof Reader (Group B) will get a monthly salary of Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/- of pay matrix of 7th PRC plus usual allowances as sanctioned by the Patna High Court.
