CA After Graduation Eligibility Criteria

Students who are willing to pursue a CA degree after their graduation, need to know the following things:

Percentage Required- A minimum of 55% is required for the graduates and postgraduates in Commerce. A minimum of 60% is compulsory for graduates or postgraduates from Arts, Humanities, or Science.

Duration- 3 years is the minimum duration to get a CA degree after graduation as students can take the IPCC exam directly after 9 months from registering themselves. After completing the 3-year degree, aspirants also have to complete an Articleship of 2 years to become a Chartered Accountant.

CA Foundation- Applicants who wish to enroll in the Chartered Accountancy Program after the 12th, must have the eligibility to take the CA Foundation exam. The students must register on or before 4 months before the date of the exam held twice in May/November or June/December.

CA Direct Entry Route- For applicants who have qualified Company Secretary (CS) Intermediate level exam from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or CWA Intermediate examination from the Cost Accounts of India, the CA Direct Entry route is available for them.

CA After Graduation Direct Entry Scheme

A candidate can also sign up for a course to pursue a CA after graduation and can appear for the CPT, while the CA Foundation examination. Students with a specific percentage of passing graduation can apply directly for the articles and IPCC Exams.   • Successfully complete the first 9 months of the Articleship Training period.
  • Complete the Articleship training and follow an Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills  (AICITSES)
  • If there is any remaining group from the Intermediate exams for CA, clear them during the Articleship period.
  • Once, the candidate has finished the training and the CA Intermediate exams, they then can register for the CA Final exam.
