CA Foundation Exam Form January 2025
CA Foundation is the initial level of the Chartered Accountancy profession in India, and it is administered and controlled by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The CA Foundation January 2025 Examination will be held on January 12, 14, and 18, 2025. Interested students are informed that the CA Foundation Exam Form for the January 2025 session has been published on November 10.
To apply for the CA Foundation exam, you must visit the ICAI e-services website, fill out the form, upload the required documents, and pay the exam fees. International students pay $325, whereas Indian students pay Rs.1500 and Kathmandu students pay Rs.2200. To avoid late fines, submit the form before November 23, 2024.

Steps to Register for the ICAI CA Exams 2025
Chartered Accountancy individuals can apply for the CA Foundation test by first registering themselves at the ICAI Portal. For new applicants, the registration process for the ICAI CA Foundation test is as follows:
- Click LOGIN/REGISTER on the main tab of the ICAI official website, or https://icaiexam.icai.org/.
- Click on ‘New User Register here!’ to register for the ICAI Foundation exam as a new student.
- The ICAI CA Registration Form will be displayed on the screen.
- Fill in the details: exam level, registration number, date of birth, valid email address, mobile number, and so on.
- To complete the ICAI CA Foundation exam registration, click on the confirmation/declaration and ‘Register’ button.
Steps to Fill CA Foundation Application Form 2025
Once you have completed your ICAI CA registration 2025, fill out the Foundation application form for your desired course/examination. Follow the steps outlined below:
- Visit the official ICAI website or https://icaiexam.icai.org/.
- Select the registration number from the drop-down.
- Authenticate with course+SRN+DOB.
- Once the authentication is done, input the email address and registered mobile number.
- Login with your registration number and password.
- Validate the email address and mobile number.
- Fill out the CA foundation form by providing your residential address and other information and upload the required documentation.
- Pay the application fee to complete the process.

Documents required for CA Foundation Exam Form 2025
While filling out the CA Foundation Exam Form Jan 2025, documents such as photos and signatures must be uploaded in the prescribed format. Here is the general guidelines for uploading photographs in the CA Foundation Exam form 2025.
Guidelines for uploading the Photo in the ICAI CA Foundation Exam Form:
- The image should be clearly visible, including the ears, against a white backdrop.
- The photo must have a strong contrast in the image.
- Photos including goggles, caps, or headgear will not be accepted.
- Religious headgear is permitted, but it must not hide the face.
- Photos of candidates wearing spectacles will be accepted.
- The background of the shot must be white and plainly visible.
- If you use a flash to take a picture, be sure there is no “red-eye”.
- Photographs should be in jpg/jpeg format and between 20 and 50 KB.
Requirements for uploading the Signature in the ICAI CA exam form
- Sign on a white sheet with a black pen.
- The size of the scanned image of the signature must be between 10 and 20 KB.
- The scanned signature should be neatly cropped, with no extra/white spaces, and saved in jpg/jpeg format.
CA Foundation Exam Form Fees
CA Foundation application fees can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, net banking, or Bhim UPI. After the deadline for submitting exam forms, candidates must pay an extra INR 600 (for four domestic and Kathmandu centers) and USD 10 (for overseas centers). The ICAI CA Foundation exam cost must be paid for exam registration.
