CA Intermediate 2024 is the second stage of the Chartered Accountancy Course. Candidates who have successfully cleared the CA Foundation level become eligible to register for this course. CA Intermediate 2024: Registration Process

Candidates can enroll themselves for the CA Intermediate course online, by visiting the https://www.icai.org/. Applicant must ensure filling all the required details in the form and pay the specified registration fee. The registration form will be generated automatically after payment of the fee. After this, candidates need to get a printout of this form and submit it to the regional office by attaching all the necessary documents with it.

How to Register for CA Intermediate?

To fill out the CA Intermediate registration form correctly, candidates must follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of the ICAI, @icai.org.
  • Login your email ID and password to the self-service portal.
  • Then, authenticate and access the portal of Student SSP.
  • Select the student cycle: CA Foundation, or Direct Entry.
  • Provide all the required details and click on “Save and Next”.
  • You will then receive an OTP for the completion of the login process. Log in again to provide further details.
  • Make payment of the registration fee in online mode.

CA Intermediate 2024: Registration Validity

The validity of the CA Intermediate registration is 4 years. Candidates can revalidate the registration validity for an additional 4 years by paying the fee for revalidation. Generally, the registration fee is around Rs. 400 or is decided by the Council.

If a student has to enroll in both groups then the entire CA Intermediate Course will cost Rs. 20,700. To enroll in just one group, students will have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 14,500. For international students, the registration for $1500 is the registration fee for both groups and $925 for a single group.   • Candidates who are registering from the direct entry route need to pay Rs. 200 in addition to the specified registration fee for obtaining the prospectus. Whereas, foreign students will have to pay $1000 for registration in both groups and $ 600 to register for a single group.
  • Moreover, direct entry candidates will need to attend the ITT and OP training programs before starting the practical training. spanning 15 days on each program. The fee for the Information Technology Training (ITT) Program is Rs. 6500, while the cost for the Orientation Program (OP) is 7,000, including the study materials and refreshments that ICAI provides to the students.

CA Intermediate 2024: Course Duration

It takes around 10 months to complete the entire CA Intermediate Course. After enrolling for the exams, there is an 8-month study period before candidates take the test. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India generally released the results within 2 months after the final examination.

CA Intermediate 2024: Training Details

After qualifying for one or both groups of the CA Intermediate exam, candidates need to take the following training as specified by the ICAI.

ICAITSS Training

The ICITSS Training encompasses two parts namely, the Information Technology course and the Orientation course. The training for each of these courses lasts for 15 days with 6 hours of instruction per day. The cost of the IT course per student is Rs. 6500 and Rs. 7000 for the Orientation Program including course materials and tea refreshments.

Articleship Training

Attending a 3-year articleship training is a must for the CA Intermediate candidates. This training aims at transforming the CA candidates into versatile, knowledgeable, and qualified professionals.

AICITSS Training

Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) consists of Advanced Information Technology and Management Communication Skills, lasting 15 days each. The per-student fee for Advanced Information Technology is Rs. 7500 and for Management and Communication Skills, students need to pay Rs. 7000. Course material and tea refreshments are all included in the specified fee.

Industrial Training

Industrial Training is completely optional for the CA students. The main objective of this training is to prepare Chartered Accounts by equipping them with comprehensive knowledge of industrial operations, in alignment with the core principles of industrial training.
