The Chattisgarh Fire and Emergency Services has released the CG Home Guard Bharti 2024 Notification to recruit Home Guard/Nagar Sainik for 2215 vacancies. The CG Home Guard PET Exam date has been released by the authority and will begin on 16th September 2024 onwards at the designated locations.

CG Home Guard Bharti 2024: Important Dates

The CG Home Guard PET Exam Date has been released on the official website. The dates for the Physical Test and Written exam will be notified soon.

CG Home Guard Vacancy 2024

The total number of vacancies released for the CG Home Guard post is 2215 out of which 500 is for Home Guard (including both male and female candidates) and 1715 are for female candidates. The online application process for the Chattisgarh Nagar Sena recruitment commenced in July 2024 and ended in August 2024. Also, the last date to make corrections to the application form was August 17th, 2024. CG Home Guard Bharti 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the CG Home Guard include age limit, educational qualification, and physical measurements. Those who satisfy these parameters can apply for the post.

CG Home Guard Age Limit

The age of candidates from any category should not be less than 19 years and not more than 40 years as of the start date of the recruitment process, i.e., 01 July 2024. For members of surrendered or Naxal-affected families, the maximum age limit is set at 45 years.

CG Home Guard Qualification

• Candidates from the General Category, Other Backward Classes, and Scheduled Castes should have passed the 10th class or Higher Secondary Examination under the 10+2 system. For Scheduled Tribes, candidates should have passed the 8th class.
• For families affected by Naxal violence (General Category, Other Backward Classes, and Scheduled Castes), the educational qualification is 8th pass. For Scheduled Tribe applicants from Naxal-affected families, the educational qualification is 5th pass.

CG Home Guard Physical Measurement Requirement

The height measurements for all category candidates is given in the table below. The chest requirement for male candidates is 81 cm (expanded to 85 cm; 5 cm expansion is mandatory)

CG Home Guard Selection Process 2024

There are 5 stages in the recruitment process for the Chhattisgarh Home Guard position.

1. Physical Test: Eligible candidates are called for a Physical Standard Test where their height, weight, and chest measurements (for male candidates) are recorded to ensure they meet the prescribed physical standards.
2. Written exam: Candidates who clear the PET are required to take a written examination. The total mark on the exam is 100.
3. Special Certificate: Marks will be awarded based on job-related certificates in relevant fields possessed by the candidates.
4. Document Verification: This step involves checking the authenticity of the candidate’s educational certificates, age proof, domicile certificates, and other necessary documents.
5. Medical Examination: Candidates who pass the document verification are subjected to a medical examination to ensure they are medically fit for the duties of a Home Guard.

CG Home Guard Exam Pattern 2024

The written exam consists of General Knowledge, Intelligence, Analytical Ability, and Arithmetic subjects and the total marks is 100. There will be 100 questions and each question carries 1 mark. In case of incorrect answers, there may be a negative marking of 0.33 marks per wrong answer. candidates from the General category must score a minimum of 50% marks, while candidates from SC, ST, and OBC must score a minimum of 40% marks.
