NICL AO Notification 2026 Out for 321 Vacancies, Apply Online Started

The minimum age limit required for the NICL AO post is 21 to 30 years. This is the minimum age limit for the General category, whereas candidates belonging to the reserved category have been provided some age relaxation.

NICL AO Application Fee

The application fee required for the NICL AO Application process is Rs. 1000/- for unreserved category candidates and for the SC/ST/PwD candidates it is Rs. 250/-. The application fee can be paid online through the e-payment method available there.

NICL AO Selection Process

The recruitment process for NICL AO Generalist and Specialist posts in Legal, Finance, Actuarial, IT, and Automobile Engineering involves three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. The Prelims will consist entirely of objective questions, whereas the Mains will include both objective-based and descriptive papers.

Candidates appearing for the NICL AO Mains Exam will also have to attempt a Descriptive English Test of 30 minutes. The test is conducted in online mode and focuses on the candidates’ English writing ability. Since it is held right after the objective section, candidates should develop the habit of presenting their ideas accurately and effectively within the prescribed time.

NICL AO Pre-Exam Training

SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwBD candidates who wish to avail the Pre-Examination Training facility must indicate their preference while filling out the online application form. They should regularly visit the Recruitment section of the official website, https://nationalinsurance.nic.co.in/recruitment, for updates and further details.

The date and venue of the training will be communicated to registered candidates through their registered email ID or mobile number. However, attending the Pre-Examination Training does not guarantee employment in the Company, and candidates must bear the cost of attending the training themselves.

NICL AO Salary 2026

The NICL AO post offers a starting basic pay of Rs. 82,485 per month in the pay scale of Rs. 82,485–1,56,745. Along with the basic salary, officers are entitled to various allowances and benefits as per company rules. The total monthly emoluments are approximately Rs. 1,14,000 for officers posted at metropolitan centres.
