CA Foundation Eligibility 2024: Age Limit and Qualification

CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2024

CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria Overview

Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria stated by the ICAI, before applying for the exam. The class 10 candidates have been allowed to enroll for the CA Foundation exam provisionally by the CA regulations, mainly sections 25E, 25F, AND 28F. CA Foundation Eligibility Qualification 2024

The following are the education qualifications set by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the CA Foundation eligibility criteria:

• If a candidate has passed Class 10th from a state or central government board or an equivalent exam, they are fit to apply for the CA Foundation examination. However, it will be initially a provisional syllabus and will be confirmed only after completing the exams of Class 12th.
• Those who have already completed their 12th exam or are currently in Class 12 are also eligible to apply for the CA Foundation exam.
• Candidates who have passed 12 Class with a minimum of 50% marks can also register themselves for the CA Foundation examination.

CA Foundation Age Limit

ICAI has not specified any specific age limit as the CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2024. Hence, for the CA Foundation Exam 2024, candidates from any age group can apply for the examination. But, candidates must satisfy all the other eligibility criteria for the CA Foundation.

CA Foundation Duration and Registration

Aspirants appearing for the May/July session of the CA Foundation exam were needed to complete their registration by 1 January 2024. For the candidates taking the exam in November/December 2024, they had to register themselves by 1 July 2024. However, a main requirement for all the candidates is to be registered with the Board of Studies (BoS). CA Foundation Exemptions

NIOS Candidates- Candidates who have done their undergraduate or post-graduate courses from an open university are also not needed to take the CA Foundation exam 2024.

Non-Commerce Candidates- Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized University in a stream other than commerce by securing an aggregate of 60% marks are not required to appear for the 2024 CA Foundation exam.
