CA Foundation Eligibility Qualification 2024

The following are the education qualifications set by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the CA Foundation eligibility criteria:

  • If a candidate has passed Class 10th from a state or central government board or an equivalent exam, they are fit to apply for the CA Foundation examination. However, it will be initially a provisional syllabus and will be confirmed only after completing the exams of Class 12th.
  • Those who have already completed their 12th exam or are currently in Class 12 are also eligible to apply for the CA Foundation exam.
  • Candidates who have passed 12 Class with a minimum of 50% marks can also register themselves for the CA Foundation examination.

CA Foundation Age Limit

UG and PG Candidates- Candidates who have passed their graduation or post-graduation degree from any recognized university with an aggregate score of 55% marks in commerce stream will be exempted from the exam of CA Foundation

NIOS Candidates- Candidates who have done their undergraduate or post-graduate courses from an open university are also not needed to take the CA Foundation exam 2024.

Non-Commerce Candidates- Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized University in a stream other than commerce by securing an aggregate of 60% marks are not required to appear for the 2024 CA Foundation exam.
