With the release of the PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2025 against the 256 posts in the State of Punjab has triggered the requirement of the PSSSB Clerk Syllabus 2025, which will be soon released on the official website @ sssb.punjab.gov.in. PSSSB Clerk Syllabus 2025

The Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board (PSSSB) conducts various recruitment examinations for the selection of candidates in the state government departments. In 2025, the PSSSB Clerk exam will encompass a syllabus designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and skills across various subjects. This syllabus not only includes fundamental topics related to general knowledge, English, and Punjabi language but also emphasizes quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, and computer proficiency.

PSSSB Clerk Syllabus 2025 Subject wise

For the Comfort of the students we have given a subject wise detailing of the syllabus. Part-A (Punjabi Qualifying Exam) Syllabus

Part- B Syllabus

General Knowledge and Current affairs of National and International importance including

• History of Punjab-14th century onwards
• History of India with special reference to Indian freedom struggle movement.

2. Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability:

Verbal reasoning: Coding, Decoding, Analogy, Classification, Series, Direction sense test, relations, mathematical operations, time test, the odd man out problems.
Non-Verbal Reasoning: Series, Analogy, and Classification.
Basic numerical skills, Percentage, Number system, LCF and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Number series, Average, Problems based on Ages, Profit and Loss, Partnership and Mixture, Simple and Compound Interest, Work and Time, Time and Distance. Mensuration and Data Interpretation

3. English:Basic Grammar, Subject, and Verb, Adjectives and Adverbs, Synonyms, Antonyms, One Word Substitution, Fill in the Blanks, Correction in Sentences, Idioms and their meanings Spell Checks, Adjectives, Articles, Prepositions, Direct and Indirect Speech, Active and Passive Voice, Correction in Sentences, etc

4. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ: ਸ਼ੁੱਧ-ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ, ਸ਼ਬਦਜੋੜ, ਅਗੇਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛੇਤਰ, ਸਮਾਨਾਰਥਕ/ਵਿਰੋਧੀਸ਼ਬਦ, ਨਾਂਵ, ਪੜਨਾਂਵ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਤੇਸਹੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ, ਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇਵਚਨ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਖਾਣ ਤੇ ਮੁਹਾਵਰੇ, ਅੰਗਰੇਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਆਦਿ

5. ICT: Basics of computers, Networks & Internet, Use of office productivity tools like Word, Spreadsheet & PowerPoint

6. Punjab History and Culture: Physical features of Punjab and its ancient history. Social, religious, and economic life in Punjab. Development of Language & Literature and Arts in Punjab, Social and Culture of Punjab during Afgan/Mughal Rule, Bhakti Movement, Sufism, Teachings/History of Sikh Gurus and Saints in Punjab. Adi Granth, Sikh Rulers, Freedom movements of Punjab

PSSSB Clerk Exam Pattern 2025

The PSSSB Clerk syllabus is primarily divided into six sections. The six main sections of the syllabus issued by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board are as follows. The Board has released the updated syllabus.

• The examination will be conducted in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format, and OMR sheets will be used to answer the questions.
• The exam will have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• The examination will consist of two parts (Part A and Part B) as detailed above

PSSSB Clerk Exam Pattern 2025
