RRB ALP Recruitment 2025
The Railway ALP Recruitment process is set to begin on April 10, 2025, with the online application window open until May 9, 2025 (11:59 PM). The selected candidates will be placed at Pay Level 2 (7th CPC) with an initial salary of Rs.19,900/-. To be eligible, applicants must meet the medical standard A-1 and fall within the age limit of 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2025. RRB ALP 2025 Eligibility Criteria

- He/She should be a citizen of India.
- He/She should possess a healthy/fit body and be of sound mind.
- They should know the regional language from where they are applying for the post.

Age Limit (As On 1/7/2025)
The RRB ALP age limit has been revised, granting candidates a 3-year age relaxation due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As per the updated criteria, the minimum age limit for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post is now 18 to 33 years as of July 1, 2025.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post must meet any one of the following educational qualifications:
- Matriculation/SSLC along with ITI from NCVT/SCVT recognized institutions in relevant trades such as Armature and Coil Winder, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Heat Engine, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Millwright Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic, Tractor Mechanic, Turner, or Wireman.
- Matriculation/SSLC with Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the above-mentioned trades.
- 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
- Combination of various streams from the above Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in place of ITI.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the above Engineering disciplines.
RRB ALP 2025 Selection Process
Candidates applying for the RRB ALP post must be familiar with the selection process, which involves multiple stages. All exams will be conducted in a computer-based format. Candidates must successfully clear each stage to qualify for the final selection. The RRB ALP Selection Process includes the following four stages:
