TSLPRB Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern

TSLPRB SI Prelims Exam Pattern includes Two stages they are:

  1. Prelims (Objective)
  2. Mains (Written test)
  3. Physical Measurement Test

Candidates should qualify in all the stages to become Sub Inspector.

TSLPRB Police SI Syllabus for Prelims

  • Prelims Exam Consists of two Sections i.e: Reasoning/ Mental Ability and General Studies. From each section 100 MCQs are asked and a total of 200 questions to be answered in 3Hrs.
  • The questions in the Preliminary exam will be objective in nature and conducted in English, Telugu and Urdu languages.
  • Note: The minimum marks required by the candidates to qualify in the Preliminary Exam is is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen.

General Science – Contemporary developments in science and technology and their

  • General Science – contemporary developments in science and technology and their implications including matters of everyday observation and experience, contemporary issues relating to protection of environment as may be expected of a well educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline
  • Current events of national and international importance
  • History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects. Indian National Movement
  • Principles of Geography and Geography of India
  • Indian Polity and Economy – including the Country’s political system, rural development, planning and economic reforms in India
  • Personality test (the questions will be from Ethics, Sensitivity to Gender and weaker sections, social awareness, Emotional Intelligence)
  • Telangana Movement and State Formation – The idea of Telangana (1948-1970), Mobilization phase (1971-1990), towards formation of Telangana State (1991-2014)

TSLPRB SI Mains Exam Consists of 4 papers and Paper 1 and Paper 2 are same for all posts but for SCTSI (IT&CO), SCT SI (PTO) and SCT ASI (FPB) posts Paper 3 and Paper 4 consists of Technical Education for respective posts.

Part-A: Consists of 50 Questions in Objective type for 25M. The duration for this paper is 45 Minutes
