TNPSC Group 1 Educational Qualification

For the Group 1 services, applicants are required to hold a degree in any stream from a university recognized by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or from an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament. Additionally, degrees deemed as equivalent to university degrees under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, are also acceptable. (b) Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Extension.
(c) Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Sociology
6 District Employment Officer Preference shall be given to graduates in Economics, Education, Sociology, Statistics, and Psychology and to those with Post Graduate Diplomas in Social Science and experience in industrial or personnel management or labour welfare.

TNPSC Group 1 Mains Exam Pattern

The Mains exam is descriptive type and it consists of 4 papers. Those who pass the Prelims exam will appear for the Mains Exam. The Main Examination answer sheets of Paper II, Paper III, and Paper IV will be evaluated, only if the candidate secures minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
