TNPSC Group 2 2024 Application Form
The online application process for the TNPSC Group 2 and 2A Recruitment 2024 has commenced on 20th June 2024. But first candidates need to do One Time Registration and then they can proceed to filling out the application form. Candidates have to provide all the essentials details and upload documents to complete the process. Before filling out the application form, candidates need to do One Time Registration (if they have not done it) and the amount to be paid as OTR fee is Rs. 150/-. After that, you have to pay a sum of Rs. 100/- as a Prelims Exam fee, and if you qualify prelims exam, then during Mains exam registration you again have to pay Rs. 150/-. Note that the TNPSC Group 2 application fee is non-refundable and it can be paid online only through Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Internet banking, etc.
TNPSC Group 2 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must check the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification. There is a certain age limit and educational qualification, as mentioned by TNPSC. - Differently-abled individuals are granted an age relaxation of up to 10 years beyond the standard maximum age limit.
- For ex-servicemen, the maximum age limit is set at 48 years. However, this age concession is not available to those ex-servicemen who have already been appointed to any class, service, or category

To be eligible for TNPSC Group 2 & 2A, candidates need to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the required subject from a recognized Indian University or its equivalent. TNPSC Group 2 2024 Prelims Exam Pattern
The introduction of the Tamil Language Eligibility Test in the preliminary exam led to changes in the exam pattern. The TNPSC Group 2 exam now includes 100 multiple-choice questions to assess Tamil language knowledge, or candidates can choose the General English section instead. The questions are based on SSLC standards. The exam duration is 3 hours, and the pattern for TNPSC Group 2 Preliminary Exam is as follows:
- General Tamil (S.S.L.C. Standard) or General English (S.S.L.C Standard): 100 questions, 300 marks
- General Studies (Degree Standard): 75 questions

TNPSC Group 2 2024 Cut Off
The TNPSC Group 2 Cut off is the minimum mark that the candidates need to score to qualify the examination. The cut-off marks for Prelims, Mains, and Final are released separately on the official website of the Commission @tnpsc.gov.in and this is released category-wise for all the candidates.
There are many factors that are considered while determining the cut-off for each examination cycle. The factors include the number of vacancies, the number of candidates who applied and appeared for the exam, difficulty level, reservation policy, etc. You can get an idea about the TNPSC Group 2 Cut off marks by going through the previous year cut off as the new cut off will be set around that number.
